I'm Scott Strickland, a passionate personal trainer ready to help you reach your fitness goals and unleash your full potential. Allow me to share a bit about myself and my journey, so we can embark on this fitness adventure together.
I was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii. However, at a young age, my family moved to Maryland, where I was raised and grew up. From an early age, I developed a deep sense of discipline and a desire to become a warrior, literally.
In 2009, I joined the Marine Corps Infantry. It was a decision driven by my unwavering patriotism and the strong belief that honor and glory on the battlefield was a calling I couldn't ignore. For four years, from 2009 to 2013, I dedicated myself to the Marine Corps, honing my physical and mental strength through rigorous training and real-life experiences.
During my time in the Marine Corps, I had the privilege of being deployed twice to Helmand, Afghanistan. Those deployments were intense and challenging, but they also shaped me into the person I am today. The experiences I had, the camaraderie I built with my fellow Marines, and the obstacles I overcame instilled in me a profound understanding of the value of perseverance, discipline, and sacrifice.
In addition to my background in the Marine Corps Infantry and my dedication to personal training, there is another aspect of my journey that has profoundly shaped my approach to fitness. Like many veterans, I have faced the challenges of dealing with depression and anxiety resulting from my military experiences.
During my transition from military to civilian life, I found solace and strength in strength training. I discovered that physical exercise not only transformed my body but also became a powerful tool to combat the mental and emotional battles I was facing. Strength training became a form of therapy for me, helping me regain control over my thoughts, emotions, and overall well-being.
I believe in the transformative power of exercise and pushing past your limits. Together, we'll work towards your goals and strive to overcome not only physical, but mental obstacles.
